Where’s a good place to hide from the cold, rain and wind? The museums, of course! But not any museum. The Pompidou center is one of my favorite places. First because it’s not so far from my stupid suburbs, only a couple stops from my RER station. Secondly because it is a dynamic, contemporary, exciting spot. It is built in the middle of the old postal card-ish Paris, surrouned by old and tiny streets. But here it is, all colourful and plastic, and hum… weird. I just love it. There you can hang out and enjoy the benches with free wi-fi (can be quite useful when you are waiting on your late boyfriend), go through all types of cool books in the bookshop or just work at the library.

On wednesday we went to the Yayoi Kusama exhibit that you might have seen online a lot these days. I thought it would be interesting, but I ended up a bit disappointed. I appreciated the paintings and the texture they had, but didn’t really like the ‘installations’. Anyhow, I am always a great supporter of women in Art. I always find it surprising when artists focus on one little thing only… Here: the dots.

After culture, it was time for some well deserved fun! I just followed Nabil to one of his numerous adventures. Ya know, he’s cool like that <3. He took me to the Coolcats x Lacoste event at le Pompon. After a few awkward social interactions with a few peeps, I had lots of fun in the little dancing zone downstairs. Trying to act laid-back and all while the Coolcats were playing some music only a few steps from us was easier than I thought. Haha. Thank you, alcohol.
