Feet in the air for the celebration of our quick getaway to Brussels, Belgium!

The awesome boy was invited and kindly offered me to join him and his cool blogger friend Ulrich. How sweet. Sweeeet hotel indeed.

I had been to Brussels a few times, but never had the chance to really wander in the streets and explore. After a quick nap we grabbed our cameras (well I grabbed my iPhone) and tried to capture the city as much as possible.

Soon enough we were getting really hungry. As I am typing this I am realizing that all my travel posts mention me being hungry… I can’t help it really. To me food is an important part of any culture and is the best way to discover local customs. Ok yeah I love food. We took the metro to the Grand Place and picked a random restaurant.

It was a very good pick. Nabil and I were amazed at the sight of these mussels. They were so good.

In the evening we went back to the hotel where we sipped on good cocktails with surprisingly lovely lounge music in the background. We all had a great time and shared a few memorable good laughs.

The day after we decided to explore the city on 2 wheels.

In a little street next to a market we came accross a very cute boutique called Holy Moly.

It was full with kawaii stuff, lovely pen and notebooks… yeah I bought one. Why am I so addicted?!

Well I guess I should say that I, was busy enjoying myself in the little shop because the two misters were busy bonding with a local youngster who was interested in Ulrich’s cool fixed gear bike. Unfortunately it did not turn out so well because that young stunt insisted and rode the bike until he fell hard against a wall. Ouch. But he was okay in the end… we think.

These 2 days passed by really fast though I won’t lie… we were all pretty excited to come home to Paris. It felt very nice to change atmosphere but I must admit that Brussels isn’t the most exciting city in terms of cultural spots/activities.

However I would recommend going if you have the chance. I mean… you have to try those mussels!
