Brian Ferry - Avalon
Clicked on a tweet that linked to the new HM x Marni ad directed by Sofia Coppola. As always, she is a genius and the visuals are awesome. But what she’s even better at, is finding the right music. Now excuse my lack of musical culture, but I’ve never heard this song before. I absolutely love it.
the uniform syndrome
*girly post alert*
I wish for new clothing all the time, and when I finally get them, I cannot stop wearing them. I’ve been living in these COS chelsea boots for almost 6 months now and keep wearing a weird giant oversized coat ever since I got it a few weeks ago. This vintage Coach bag was purchased on a flea market adventure with Miemo around D.C. during summer 2010. I need a new style,...
how to make it through a very cold winter
Yes. You can wrap yourself up in a hooded coat and listen to sweet music while trying not to think of your frozen feet.
OR…
…you can eat.
a solution
instead of rejecting negative thoughts I am willing to turn them into inspiration and consequently into positive things ^.^
Texas, la suite
Je préfère le premier roll, mais bon… cool quand même :)

I'll be reaaaaadyyy
Take 2 nerds, 2 iPhones, 2 empty stomachs, 1 cute town, 1 beach. Shake, shake. Get super awesome fun!
You can tell by our smiley faces that we really enjoyed eating these delicious mussels fresh off the sea. But the most pleasant thing was being able to walk down the little empty streets and smelling, feeling the ocean.
We were lucky enough to witness the lovely sunset on the beach. Epic...

Hung alone in little Japan for a bit, I love it there.
Food was eaten at Ace gourmet, rue Therese, menus from 8 to 10e. Sweets were photographed at the patisserie Aki, rue Sainte-Anne. Bubble tea was ordered at Zen Zoo, rue Chabanais. All 3 are near metro Pyramides, ligne 14. Nom nom nomz :)

I have no idea of how the film is going to look like, so here are some boring iPhone photos for now. Like some people are actually checking this blog, haha. Love.

The day after
Last night Lysianne and I saw Shame, a movie Annie told me about, she is a great fan of Steve Mc Queen’s first movie Hunger. It always takes a while for me to know whether I liked a movie or not. Usually a night will do. This morning I wasn’t so sure about my opinion.
As you may have understood from the numerous reviews in the press, Shame talks about a man who suffers from sex...

Where’s a good place to hide from the cold, rain and wind? The museums, of course! But not any museum. The Pompidou center is one of my favorite places. First because it’s not so far from my stupid suburbs, only a couple stops from my RER station. Secondly because it is a dynamic, contemporary, exciting spot. It is built in the middle of the old postal card-ish Paris, surrouned by old...

What’s to do these days? I don’t know about you but this yucky weather is turning me into a cat (ew).
I just feel like…
watching good ol’ classics…
hang at home in these super cute and comfy slippers my mom brought me from Laos…
Lucky me there are some other cozy places outside of my bedroom.
Thrift shops happen to be quite cozy - when clean!

I thought it would be a good idea to pick my favorite recent photos and try to tell you the story behind them.
These are some extracts of another cool day spent with the - oh so artsy - Mag. We like to share whole days together and try to have as much fun as possible without spending too much. We usually succeed. From hanging at her cute new home in the 9th to walking by the canal, discovering...

I GAVE IN
Please don’t judge me. I (used to) hate it too. This is what my life has been like lately. Pretty much Instagraming all day.
Best view in Paris.
I made this avocado/cream cheese/salmon bagel. It was so good. Maybe I will cook something soon, who knows?
Chilling at the boyfriends while he’s busy having a love affair with his bike.

2 days in Brussels
Feet in the air for the celebration of our quick getaway to Brussels, Belgium!
The awesome boy was invited and kindly offered me to join him and his cool blogger friend Ulrich. How sweet. Sweeeet hotel indeed.
I had been to Brussels a few times, but never had the chance to really wander in the streets and explore. After a quick nap we grabbed our cameras (well I grabbed my iPhone) and...

Let me introduce you to my latest impulsive buy: ze bike.
The sun was out this morning, so it was the perfect weather to try it out!
I think we all know who’s the lucky owner of that oh so hipster fixed-gear bike… harhar.
Me looking goofy as usual.
What a nice day ☀

Jaaa Mannnn.
If I had to sum up Berlin in one word, I would probably say… tote bag. It is simple, easy, cool and stylish without pretention. More than tote bags, the city is full of bicycles, little cafés, bearded boys and short haired girls. Oh and art. Berlin seems to be the perfect place for street artists and other thinkers who want to share their message with the world.
Before going into details...

Time machine, Normandie
This weekend me and the sis joined our parents at our family house in Normandie. It had been a little while since the last time all 4 of us were reunited, so my mom’s bday was the perfect occasion to do so!
This house is over 100 year old, but I’d say the ’decor’ hasn’t changed since the 70’s at least. Going there is like going on a time machine… so...

Kick, push
Finally went to the Public Domaine exhibit at La gaité lyrique on sunday. I would’ve completely forgotten about it if my little cousin slash bro didn’t text me that day. Being a younger, he sure knows all about skateboarding and all that cool stuff.
Ooh ooh and I really liked the film room, that was pretty intense. It was a good afternoon, always nice to spend some time with him....

Hi,
I’m going to spend the day cleaning my bicycle, read my book, eat asian food and maybe hang out with a friend or two? I haven’t been ‘creative’ in a little while, meaning I no longer draw or write. I feel a bit guilty about it. This summer is strange, quite boring to be honest. Thank god music is here to funk things up. Ooh I need to get disposable cameras! What a...

Sitting at a random café waiting for my friend. Been spying on these girls convo for a little while. They’re hating on their friend who thinks she’s all that ‘cause she travels a lot. They’re saying she’s really annoying, ever since she came back from her Chile trip she took some distance and posts weird stuff on her fb wall. Hahaha. Maybe some of my ex friends said that about me!
Ok now these 3...

We are all zombies. This is what I tell myself everyday when I am trapped in the packed train on my way to the zombie factory a.k.a. work. Lucky me I am one of the few who still have that hope and imagination that can take us everywhere. I don’t even need to close my eyes, everything’s up there in my head. I wonder how long this will last though. I’m sure I will end up like them...
